It doesn't. People do this.

Or, rather many times, the media buries the content in either fog or glitz. Concentrate on not what is the better of the two, content or delivery, but on the melding of both.

People also do this. They may do it with verbiage or with digital electronic effects. Teaching is communication, no matter what medium you use. Appalling interactive multimedia is just as non-productive as appalling lectures.
